sorry I work at 4, 25 -- can't test at 4.26
what that position fails and it stops working post the scene
maybe this picture will help you
..... I think I understand .... somewhere should be a button to tweak the setting a Z-depth but I know two versions is in the info channel and in the render elements ... but I can't change the depth to make it more advanced
.......................................................
I really want the Z-depth max-what do I measure ? let's be tied to the values of scene - mm - cm - m - - - and then some incomprehensible value than to measure I do not understand

I want to remind that there is still no way to remove the AO to zero . alternatively, you can use the filter Diffuse filter but for a simple project values you used to be able to remove AO using GI mode Sammple Environment - now this feature does not work
in this environment, I simulate AO - Dirt on the material objects

perhaps it is a feature of 3Dmax but I lose the color ... maybe as an option to make the button update the viewport on the texture and colors
....................
this script updates the texture but does not update the color
......
I 3D max there is a function but it is not used in octane

Hi Goldisart,
I'm working with 4.25 and verifying your posts, step by step.
About the question of unit of measurement: it is always in meters.
Octane works always in meters.
Before you start to work in 3dsMax you need to set or check meters in unit of measure.
80% of the problems of lights, materials, volumes, camera etc, is caused by a wrong unit of measure.
forgetting to check this parameter is a way to become crazy to find where the problem is when something seems not to work.
Kind Regards
Paride

thank you for your patience - I first heard of it about one meter .... now all my scenes are in these units .... I have always been in inches

I work in actual size with the jewellery - at this size it is impossible to work !!!! let's look for a solution .... octane needs to convert any unit and convert to what he believes and so it is impossible to work in the system of meters.
......
for architecture perhaps this is normal ... and what to do with a microcosm of the real .... - I used to work in real scale
.....
try it yourself models in micro details in the meter range from 1 cm and less
.....
I have friends who use octane render work in mm unit
