Well, if it doesn't denaturate to much the result, you can use it, by the way you should mention whatever fx you'll use.

I have an idea that I will start work on once I get home from Christmas. We will have to see if I have time to finish it, but if I do I am sure that many of you will like it. :)
I can't wait to get started.

Can we expect a new build before the competition ends? It would be nice to take advantage of the new bug fixes you guys have been working on.

Hi, my name is Mikhail Go
and this is my 2nd entry for this competition
I tried to do somewhat a visualization of an adidas shoe and give somewhat an advert feel in it ^_^ hope u like it guys
i modelled the shoe in Maya and made the textures in photoshop
and then converted it so i can render it in Octane

Polygon count - 189,538
render time - 10mins(sory coz i rendered it in 8500GT ............coz my 9800GT broke i dnt knw why but i knw it will only take 1min to render it using 9800GT.................my vid card died T_T)

k here is it
(i also uploaded a screen shot of me using the octane renderer)

My idea is very simple; it's my new year card
Concept is a triptyque.
Each image is clean with minimum colours and only few objects.
Each image has a object with warm colour that give a part of the message...
concept sketch
concept sketch
First image (tird one actually in final result)
Marty00_capture.png
Render directly from Octane
Scene lighten by HDRI and 2 meshlights.
Rendered in 2h06mn with 1822sples/px. Size 2048x2048 px
1800s/px _ 2h
1800s/px _ 2h
Render cache from Octane for photoshop post prod
Marty07_cache.jpg
Final image from photoshop. I had chromatic aberration and tweak vignetting

How did you get that render cache image? I've not seen that before.
