My 4xGTX680s and 4xTitans work for 2-3 years without any problem. Teslas are more reliable.
It's time to replace my 580s, same case, same processors, same system. That's why I love gpu computing.

Sure they will, but not that fast, or even in a 4-gpu setup on air slower than 127. Gabriele, what is your max score for 4xTitans in TJ11?

I will not see it on listing for few months as noOne around is interested in this card in my country =) wouldn't be surprised to see card priced even higher =) let's see how much guys charge for "preOrder"..

Seems to be the case that the Titan X does not have the backplate like the Titan Black,
and MSi, EVGA, ASUS, and others are not allowed to add their own coolers;
so with the same cooler the temps are better with the Black.

Good we (Octane users) now have outercore feature and most are satisfied with 6gb anyway;
The Titan X prices compared with performance related to the Black: 27% more performance for 34% higher price,
so I the price of the Titan X is right on, having this 12gB ion board...

Maybe Nvidia learned their lesson form the 3K price when they started off with the Titan Z?
Still... if you can grab a TitanZ for 1500 euro... and you have space in you rcase... I would grab it, but they are hard to find.

So great to see no f(*&ing backplate - I really dislike those as without agressive OC those don't give any beneffit but effects airflow quite a lot in tight builds =)

Curious how it's going to be with aftermarket coolers, but I believe some companies will find a way to circumvent nVidias restrictions like Gigabyte done for Titan Black releasing their Windforce cooler bundled with card =)

yeah, it's price is very reasonable =) it's not cheap by any means..but it's far from what Teslas/quadros cost..

Yeah Z will become extinct soon..like 780 6Giger - though correct me if I wrong, but it's technically still produced, haven't heard nvidia qouted for discontinueing those =) just original price is "a bit" too much =DDD

There are 2 of them at my local wholesaler for 1500EUR each. Anyone interested?

Where? No one seems to be stocking them, at least not the normal US retailers (NewEgg, Amazon, EVGA, etc.)

I like that the Titan X doesn't focus on DP floating point if that can help keep the cost down. But considering that Octane 2 can do out-of-core textures and Octane 3 will add out-of-core geometry, the 12GB of RAM doesn't do that much for me. Granted, fitting everything in VRAM is faster than out-of-core memory transfer, but if I was going to spend $1,000 on GPU rendering again, I'd lean more towards 3 x 970's which totals ~5,000 CUDA cores, vs the ~3,000 cores of the Titan X.
