Ja, ja... I have blender license too, and Its terrrible! Paul make the plugin with the new version very fast and Jimstar make the maya plugin first and then the Blender plugin... so sometimes I have so many standalone versions... (stable for archicad, test for archidad, octane server for blender, test for blender...) Paul is too efficient :D :D :D

Hi Paul,

I noticed in 2.22 the max samples slider does not go over 8000.
Typing does work to get higher number.

greetz,

I have refreshed the installers at the top of this thread with:

2.22.2.42
- Fixed issue where the render would not save to a folder with special characters in it
- Fixed issue where the Max Samples slider would not go higher than 8000

Thanks

Paul

Following is an experimental build - seeking feedback from willing testers.

2.22.2.44
- Add GDL parameter OctaneProxy_AlwaysUseParameters (Boolean), which when ON means that the GDL parameters will always be used for scaling/rotating the proxy, and the Proxy window can not be accessed. NOTE: This feature has not been tested yet!
- The proxy Face Camera setting is now ignored if a scatter file has been specified
- Added text to the Photorendering Settings indicating the plugin needs to have been opened in order for the View Rendertarget combobox to be populated.
- Substantially changed how missing files are handled. If it is detected that a file is missing, you will get the "Missing File" dialog, and there is now an extra option to "Search". If you search, the directory that the file is found in is "remembered", so the plugin will attempt to load the next missing file from that directory. If not found, you can ignore all further errors (and in this case, any missing files will still try to be located in the last search folder). The LiveDb folder is not longer searched when missing files are detected.
* NOTE: If a file is embedded in an ArchiCAD .pla libary, it will NOT be reported as missing, but will not be loadable into Octane, so make sure you extract texturemaps when loading .pla files.
* NOTE: The above change will need careful testing, so pls use this release with caution.

Thanks Jeroen - is it happening on every scene, or just one? Does the scene have proxies? Were there any texturemaps reported missing when you opened the plugin?

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,
It was a clean scene.. Just started for this test.
I had only added a floor slab and an ArchiCad standard 3d people object .... without any proxies yet assigned.
No other reports like tetxures missing.
I will try a new scene with even less to start the render viewport.
Greetz,

Hi Paul,
New clean scene and added floor slab with materuial (without texturing) and the viewport opened without problem.
Will check if the problem is the texture or the people object.
greetz,

edited: it is the people object that gives the error!
edited 2: also another object gives the error.
