Hi Ahmet,

yes I did and it works in your scene.

But in my scene from 5 different masks only one is rendered and
also one object missing in the mask.
If no mask would render I would assume, that I've forgotten something.
But 1 mask is rendered and four other masks are rendering black.
Thats what I don't understand.

I just made a small testscene with a few spheres and there everything is
working properly.

But not in my scene!

Please see jpg example "ID2"! ID mask "2" is black.


What I'm doing wrong here?

Mike, have you selected render method2? not "send all data". This collect all to a single mesh and does not allow seperate meshes as indivual meshes.

I always forget to about this setting!

in last version, method2 is default to avoid this kind of problems. It's capable to do everthing but can be slower. People should know the background of rendering if he want to use better.

thats what I stumbled about!

Because I did'nt touch this setting in any scene and
in my small testscene where it worked, this was done with
the new RC2 version.

Btw. I really don't want to go behind render engines!
That was the reason why I changed from VRay to Octane.
Simplicity and User friendliness.

But you're right! A few things users like me should understand ;)

yes, that's the same reason for me to start to Octane. Also there is not so much trick. All is less than fingers of a hand. Anyway i'm changing the things to make less confusing.

Hello,
In 2.20.0 RC2, i have a strange issue in my c4d viewer : some objects (the red ball in attachement) doesn't appear with the Octane Render engine.
In the Live viewer, everything is find.
Any idea ?

Hi Aoktar

i noticed a pb when i use ID mask, automatically the multi-pass file save is activated in general rendering settings.

In c4d advanced render, activate this settings haven't effects, but octane render produces an alteration of the colours of the picture, any tip to fix it?
