I wonder if it would be a too big effort to add a function like "change all floatimages to images for this figure"?
Would make life easier when running over the grayscale image limit while still having enough room for RGBs.
This is already scheduled for the next release. Should be a big timesaver.

Hi Paul,

quick question from the Poser front:

Would it be possible, to introduce a function into the plug-in that makes it possible to set the bump map value to say 0.2 for ALL materials in one scene?

Often I find that the Octane plug-in imports (especially V4 and M4) with a value of 0.05. Manually correcing it every time is really a bummer...

Any chances here?

Thanks for your answer

Noel

Hi

You can change the default bump power for skin materials in OctaneDefaults.py. The bump power is in the SkinNodeTemplate variable.

Hi Paul,
had a Poser crash when assigning a texture into the "efficiency or texture" slot of a texture emitter. PoserPro 2014, Plugin 1.20.2
Same worked fine under PoserPro 2012 with the 1.20a Plugin.

Hi Uwe - is the crash repeatable, or was it a one-off?

It's repeatable.
I tried also with starting from a blackbody emitter, than changing to texture and apply a .JPG, but no luck. PP2014 crashes as soon as I have selected the image and try to apply it.

Repeatable for me too. Let me look into it.

Hi Uwe - I can reproduce this on my Win8.1 laptop, but not my Win7 desktop. Are you on Win8 or 8.1?
