Hi Karba
is it possible to make all the camera imager setting become one with imager in octanerender settings panel?
I am using multiple camera and using lenshift, I think sometimes it's easier to control the imager setting in octanrender settings panel than in camera itself (have to choose camera, click edit panel etc)

oh maybe it will be great if in Imager OctanRender Settings window panel
you can some roll out menu of camera, so we can choose different camera
is it possible?
just imagine

Thanks Karba :D

@tonycho

Find the script CamSelect. That should solve your problems.

I think having 2 separate imager settings is good for me. I generally use the imager in render setting as a scratch board, for trial and error.
But cameras has the final settings.

You know we're having a hard time with Ctrl-Z absence both with standalone and max. So i would rather prefer having imager settings apart from render settings.

is it possible when you isolate an object to have at least the sun not to hide ? I do a lot of exterior archviz, and everytime i isolate something, it all hoes to black :(
This option is available in vray as i know.
thanks
You can try to set environment color to white.

yes, that is an option, but if I tweak the material on a tree or any other material, i need to see how it looks in sun light.

You can use a HDR image for lighting up the scene. So you have illumination all the time.
I also work with layers a lot to have the sun not hidden. It's is one more click to unhide the sun layer but works well too.

Hi Guys.. Im rendering an animation with max 14 and im noticing that the VFB doesnt show the render progressing (i mean render clean up overtime) anymore, it only shows for less than a second at the end, the finished frame before it starts rendering another...do any of u experience this as well?

if i go to the folder where the frames are being saved the images are there and they are rendered correctly..but im kind used to seeing the progress it helps it knowing whether or not the renders are ok.

this does not happen on octane viewport, here it behaves correctly.

Hi Karba

2 bugs that occurs since 1.11c
- Matte shadow is broken
- Reflection affects alpha

Please fix it before next release.
Octane is not more usable in this version.
