I suppose you mean the diffuse material of the ground, that I want to have transparant? I simply assigned a diffuse material to it, but only the standard settings show up. :| No matte.

Are you sure you are using 1.01 or 1.02?
it should be right there on the bottom.

Edit: In your post, it says you are using 1.0. You need 1.01 or 1.02 which was just released.

I just downloaded it, came from 2.58e and thought that 1.00 was the latest!

I purposedly bought 4 x 580s, to reduce the rendertime when using a big hdr. Importance sampling is crazy!! 8-)

also additional options for invisible to camera or invisible to reflections makes more competative
