don't let these renders scare any others from submitting more entries,
remember, there are 3 licenses, not 1 license available for winners.

it is good.
Because I prepare three projects, and can and four(if will have time) for a competition. I specially design already 2 day for this competition.
it is eventual render competition, but it seems to me not very much honestly to use the prepared models. if a man had the prepared beautiful project(which did the pair of months) already, he not having difficulty him
render and to get a 1 place...

:(:(
I hope you understood me correctly

Well, it ought to be rendering competition, not modeling or anything else, so that's the reason I've used one of my old projects. If that's a problem, I can always withdraw and move my pictures to regular gallery, but I see no point in making everything from the scratch, since we are testing demo/beta version of this great renderer.

Hi guys,
you can submit anything you want.
you could even submit an unmodified render of the spaceships demo scene that comes with octane if you want,
however I'm pretty sure the judges will not pick your render if you do that.
it does'nt matter if you modeled the model or not,
or if it's a new scene modeled for the competition or an older work you had lying around.
just state what you did and how you did it,
and we leave the panel of judges to pick the winning entries based upon all the given information, screenshots and images.
and remember, it does'nt matter how good you are, taking a part in the competition is what counts

Hey guys !
Been playing around with Octane since last night. I'm going to submit some images. I really like the idea of taking 3d Photography with this. Even the speckles i think add a more film like response to the images.
here is what I've come up with.

Dear Matt,
I like very much the "paper craft" images. A very actual design school!
Maybe you could explore a little bit more, trying different camera angles and DOFs.
Cheers

@mradfo21:Cool images and idea. Remember, if you change the images, please don't create a new reply but change them in the existing one, if you want to keep a trace of the differents steps, create a WIP thread in the appropriate section and put your last images here.
