I have the same problem as other users: I can finally see the denoiser in the preview but when I try to start a render the result is a totally black image.
When I activate the denoiser from the camera parameters, the render does not start.
The render fails even if I turn off the denoiser.
For the moment I can solve the denoiser problem with the standalone version; I look forward to your progress
Right, I really do love what they are doing, not just with the releases but the entire industry. I was reading about the RNDR’s network of decentralized GPUs and I really am floored at the potential to bring some of the more render-heavy opportunities to artists that live in areas like me.

I had that problem (MBP 16" 5600M 8GB) and what cured it was rendering an animation frame range, closing and restarting the viewer, also pausing the viewer when rendering. Also sometimes I have to move the 'playhead' to a different frame other than 0 in C4D in order to get the denoiser to work.

Octane X completely crashes when connecting Paint or any o the new OSL shaders. Is that to be expected?

I grabbed C4D plugin PR7 last night and it was labeled "OctaneX_PR7_Prime"
runs well. I noticed the dl is now missing. curious why.
I have a studio subscription btw.

Where did you get that from? And does it work with your Studio subscription?

Hi, I am currently using Octane 2020 on my Mac Pro 2013 with dual 1080 Ti eGPU setup and I was thinking what happens if I get AMD card and install Octane X, but then I need render farm service?
Octane X needs Mac render farm? Or will it be somehow converted to PC compatible form so user simply send render file to any existing Octane compatible service? Thanks!

If OctaneX runs on iOS (I have seen pics on twitter showing it does) then having access to these as render nodes would be interesting.

I got a little lost in the sheer volume of Octane X versions.
I would like to ask about the free Octane X license for Macs purchased after 2019, which was so loud but quiet for a while. Is this still actual?
I can see that Oxtane X is already stable on Big Sur.

I would also like to know about the free version for 2019+ Macs.
