OTOY has sent me an experimental patch last night that stopped the crashing, so now they know what to do. Base on this info, they will be releasing a new SDK. so Paul can update the Poser plugin to make a version that doesn't crash Poser anymore. Only then we will back in the game. Almost there now.

I have updated the installers at the top of this thread with:
3.1.2.74
- Compiled with Octane 3.02
- Added missing files Refresh2.png and splash_mini 3.png to the OSX installer
3.1.1.74
- Compiled with Octane 3.01.1
- Added an "Activation" button to the OctaneLive tab which can be used to deactivate the plugin
- You can now disconnect the Medium from the Environment Medium pin
- Fixed issue where loading certain LiveDb materials would crash the plugin
- The Maximum value of the Power of Image maps for Bump maps is now 5
This version should resolve the crash on startup for users who experienced that problem on the previous release.

Hello,
So I have a little problem using the poser plugin in conjunction with the nvidia driver 368.39, is this a known issue?
The standalone octane render application seems to work, it's just the poser plugin. The poser plugin displays the render window but the progress doesn't go beyond 0.
I've rolled back to 358.50 and that seems to work again, however this is a little problematic for me as I also need to do VR work and I don't believe this driver supports VR so currently I'm having to keep re-installing drivers over and over. Does anyone know of a later driver version that I could try that might work?

I had a lot of problems with 368.39. Try 368.22. That version works on Poser11, however some users are having issues with it on Poser10. OTOY have reported the problem to Nvidia.

Thanks for the help!
I bit the bullet and upgraded to Poser Pro 11 and it seems to be working with the latest nvidia drivers now. Although the price was a bit high, the convenience of not having to swap drivers constantly was worth it!
