As the competition lasts now for a long time, there are also things outside the competition that have to be done... I think that many of us are busy... and tired ! :| I have to spend much more time than expected on rebuilding my website, but I hope that I will find some time to do something more until the end of the race ! For now, I have to sleep some hours, because I'm quite melting on my seat and the efficiency is not here !

theres nothing i would like more than to do something new with Octane, but just too busy working for too low pay to do anything else right now :(
I do think though it would be easy & cool to do one of those new animation types.....a nice daylight simulation......
When we have MLT, emitters & collada import thats when i'll be looking at using octane in production & hence being more prolific with it (o, and of course a GPU with a lot more ram ;)

Im with you, ltchest.
To busy at work and not a big enough carrot hanging in front of me to stay up late on Octane (poly emitters! hint hint)
Then I can get some real comparison/testing done versus my normal workflow.

i'm quite happy with the numerous submissions we've had, the competition has been running quite long already.
let's just wait until the end of the month when it's finished so anyone working on something can submit it.

can't wait to start the jury deliberations :)

zemmuonne, you can check the rules in the firs page of this contest...

Yups, that's what I did - read my post :D I was pointing out that's weird there are not octane licenses as prizes, and it would be cool since I think there are many entries done with demo, that's all ;)

80% of my renders here were made when I was working

Ill rerender them tommorow with credits and edit this msg.
