Guus,

Could you give an option for adjusting height of lower panel, especially for "Properties"? Or docking it to a left or right vertical column. The reason is that scrolling though all parameters and is very hard.

Is there any video tutorial on the software or shall I go through over 50 pages of the manual?

Thanks for your feedback smicha,

I've noted your feature request and I will implement the height adjustment in the next release.

There are no video tutorials, there is simply too much stuff to go over. The program has really grown far larger than it was originally intended to be.

No need to read all of the manual, but make sure to read:

- Chapter 4, GUI
- Chapter 5 so you're aware of the different scatter options
- Chapter 6 at the very end, shows the controls
- Chapter 7

After that I'd recommend to just go and play with it.

The program is jam-packed with features so it will help if you keep the manual open and use it as a reference. The learning curve is very steep as the entire program is geared towards the concept of: put in a bunch of effort first, then keep profiting from the same setup/options over and over. Once you've built a library of scatter stuff inside Phantom Scatter, you can simply use it over and over.

Guss,
But look - 3 minute video even without voice navigation is so useful. Look at this 'simple' but so powerful plugin - I got yours because I must use scattering out of Sketchup

That program uses an entirely other concept though, which is 'go in the scene and custom edit everything'. My concept is 'rig up a lot of settings and then be able to import various scenes to automate scattering'.

I am talking only about a need for videos.

So remarks:

1. Why my primary gpu reports constant 15-25% usage while PS is opened? Even when I am doing nothing with it.
2. Is there any chance to give a user a custom navigation keys? Middle scroll shall work as zoom in/out. Personally as I am not a gamer for over 20 years (i played games when was about 15) I find very complicated ASDWQE key to use. Why not using a mouse only with e.g. shit or alt for pan and rotate?
3. The most important area which is on the bottom on the screen takes roughly 10% of a desktop - it shall dominate on the screen and definitely get rid of scrolling though its certain options. I'd put them in columns will all functions visible. The preview windows may take even 30%. Sorry but the top entire panel with frames per second is just wasting space.
4. Integrate the nodelink directly to PS - having two separate exe files makes things complicated.
5. Font color for help is too dark (blue on dark blue) to read - change to white or very light blue.
6. Font type color in the manual is too bright to read - change it to black.
7. If 'copy to clipboard' shall be 'on' for node link why not get rid of this option and enable it as default? The simpler the better, isn't it.

Love your software that is why I bought it for the second time. I hope it will be even better ;)

1. I'm building this on a game development engine, there is a lot of overhead going on (but does allow for all of the cool stuff the GUI offers)
2. This won't change. Better start playing some games
3. Will be improved in the next release!
4,5,6. Buy a high-end screen! Kidding...(though partially true)... I'll make an override for this in the next release!
7. True, but there will be a bunch of node link checks during export that could potentially slow down large exports, so now users can simply disable it if they don't use Node Link and have slightly faster exports.

:)

I am trying to go through the node link manual...

Could you record a short screen capture with an example of what to do step by step. ?
