This on this old scene as exemple ( with lw plugin 2020.2.3.1 i have no problem )
How do you turn off Multi Thread extraction please?

There is an option in the plugin options panel to disable it.
Thanks,

				Hello again.
Multi threading extraction results in F9 or F10 complete freeze - It loads the preview window and then nothing, you have to kill Layout and reload. IPR still works.
I did manage to get it to work with just a fresh scene and using Modeler tools within Layout to make a simple cube. But if I load any objects into the scene with MTE on, F9 and F10 freeze.
I'm using LW2015.3

Having the same issue Here, i have a 1950x threadripper only with this new relase. in Multithread extraction, some objects drop in the scene. i have 2x 3090rtx and LW 2020.0.1

I just can't get Ostan to work with denoise on this scene. Here is the log file.

I have box, copy the box turn off in scene editor but Octane still render this box.
In the earlier version of Octane there was no problem.
I found the solution to this bug. If you go into the render target node and turn off Instance LW Clones that fixes the issue.
Hope this helps
Thanks,
Jason

Yeah clones as instances needs to be off for that but I am not sure that is pure solution. Was that same before on previous octane versions or 2020.4.0 only?

				Hi Juanjgon,
Wondering when the multi-Threaded extraction crashing is going to be fixed? Right now in the latest versions of Octane it's completely un usable since every time I open the IPR window layout crashes. But if I turn off the multi-threaded extraction it doesn't crash anymore.
Thanks,
Jason

Check your models for older materials, missing images etc. I have found that some models crash the render with multi threaded extraction on some configurations. I have desktop which loads the scene and my laptop with the same scene crashes. Cleaning the models helped to load the scene.

C4D and other plugins have had a spotlight for
years now. It's feature parity issues like this--not to mention the ridiculous years-long documentation problem--that aggravate me enough to make me wander over to the Redshift site when I'm waiting for an Octane job to finish.

R:I think Octane for LW is one of the favourites, but I agree not to update the manual.
