hi radiant, i been done all about your tutorial light and just looks like your ies, i been used an erco lights and appear like in the image, could you told me the reason ? i add material

Sorry i don't understand what your problem is.
add ies in Octane is not simple.
For example in my scene I have several mesh discs (8cm diameter). I imported them and added the ies photometric. I have not achieved the desired result.
I think that Octane transform the ies curve in a flat texture but ies has three dimensional datas.
Or I have to add on every disc a different material....and in my scene there are 50 discs...

hi radiant my problem is the ies i can't see the light like yours, i mean, none light just a slow brigth
i been put a lot ies and is the same result, maybe an tutorial with a scene will be better, becouse box and gems without roof isn't the same or some explanation to understand more this topic about ies ?

Hi gabrielefx and merid888,
What are the settings for your emitters? Are you adding the IES data to the correct pin (i.e. the distribution pin) ? Or can you post a screenshot of your settings and rendered image?

hi roeland the ies arc in the scene, is the problem, i can't see that arc like a ies should be, i see just a ligh piece not form an ies, i been moved all parameters and just looks a light more and less but never an arc ies
i add image, i hope you can helpe understanding this step of the ies light

The shape of the emission depends on the IES file you're using, can you attach the one from your scene? And those arcs are produced if the light is some distance from the wall.
