Had some OpenGl issues with R19, but this is not octane related.
Anyhow, i have run into some tricky issues with Cryptomate in this update release.
Render setup:
Cyrptomate channels: CryptoMaterialNode, CryptoObjectPinName are checked
1) scene being rendered, eg frame 1-200
2) on frame 100, i stop rendering.
3) resume from frame 100 ...
4) Cryptmate channel CryptoMaterialNode is different from that point onwards.
this is complicated, cause in post i have to deal with reselecting the materials from that frame onwards.
is this supposed to happen ?
You're welcome but are you talking about a specific scene? Sample scene would be appreciated, can't know what's happening without seeing.
Ahmet goodmorning. Unfortunately it is NOT project related. As you can see in the supplied test scene, the MaterialNode is the same , but the CryptoObjectPinName is different. 3 tags are the same.
Thank you for your time.

After losing 2 hours of work wondering why I could update to this version, I'm fair to assume these features are blocked for version 4 users unless I pay an additional $699..
Had Octane for around a year so it's pretty annoying that investing in it has lead to a stop in the road, when all said and done most of the features I want are things that have been in the industry a while (ie. Cryptomatte) the Vectron/Spectron stuff are gimmicks IMHO so not too fused about those..
BUT fog has been a joke in Octane for years, to the point where I've used Redshift to render out volumentric. Other renderers seem to get it right...Now you've made it easier/faster you've blocked access to us?!
Many thanks,
Mike.

hey so if I got the enterprise, and it means access to all of the other dccs... how come c4d asks me for another subscription? "Could not find the required licence" blabla
Primarily use 3dsmax.. I've been able to run octane in after effects and houdini no probs, now c4d is bitching about it..

Fog is not a joke. This is a unbiased path tracer and need more samples to calculate. This kinda effects can be calculated faster for biased renderers. Do you wish to get all new work done at free? V3 to V4 was free else of others. Not so much of users thanked for that. Now policy changed to support the development.

C4D plugin has not been developed and owned by Otoy. It's not under an aggrement to include for AA strategy. Contact to support team of Otoy.

Hey aoktar !
I just wanted to say thank you for this new build! It finally works with my old R15 (no more start up crashes) and I am very exciting to play around with all the new V2018.1 features.
Just had to edit the OctaneCameraexp.res because of the old SCALE_H, SCALE_V issue, but fixed it and now its rollin

)) (no real issue).
Please keep up the good work! I feel there“s a lot of complaining in the forum lately because of the new licencing policy.
That shouldn`t stop you doing your great development work!
You are the C4D Octane Master since the very beginning 7-8 years ago!
Hope you will be joining and pushing the C4D Octane journey for far more years!!
Thank You!
Cheers,
ChrisVis

Whatt? Had no idea.. I mean, that's why c4d appears to be fastest in new updates and has the best octane implementation, great work there.. I used to use c4d for 3 years and partially because the new octane plugin was firstly developed for 3dsmax, I continued with max, even went on as beta tester - max has not got the best implementation, it's OK, but they need a lot faster bug solving.. if I lasted for another year, I'd probably remain in c4d ecosystem..
wow, really didn't realize this was independant from otoy ..
I mean what's the point in contacting support team, I'm not gonna get access if I don't pay for c4d right?
BTW guys if you already have V4, it's something like 199$ for the upgrade to 2018 enterprise subscription - octane usually had something OK set up for current users, so I hope it's gonna continue like that

Hi Ahmet. I had a problem while I rendering a lot of particles. Octane render time is constant per-frame, but frame-processing time drammaticaly increasing frame by frame. Scene consist same quantiti particles in every frame, but render time increasing for 2 times after each 10 frames. But when i restart render, render time going small and start increasing again. On screenshot you can see when same frame (114) can render 4:17 and after restart 1:01. It's a madness. (x-particles are cached)
Is it Cinema related problem?

Do you have motion blur? Send me render logs from Console window.

Thanks for the new release.
(Latest stable) - 18.05.2019
1.
Kernel Setting : Deep Image(On), Deep Render Passes(On)
Render Setting > Octane Render > Main > Save Deep Image(On)
2.
Kernel Setting : Deep Image(On), Deep Render Passes(On)
Render Setting > Octane Render > Render Passes > Enable with Multilayer EXR
Cinema 4D version 2018.1.2-R2 with R20, R19
Deep Image Not working - Nuke Say "ERROR: DeepRead1: C:/Users/masters/Desktop/ff0000.exr: no deep data found in file"
Cinema 4D version 4.04.R2 with R20, R19 is Ok.
PS. How to use "Deep Render Passes'?
Does it work with Render Passes(on)?
