Quick question...
If NETWORK RENDERING is currently disabled, what about the ORC ? If I buy an ORC subscription, does the ORC currently support this v4.00-XB3 build, or will it only work with the official commercial releases like 3.08 ?

old bug: try this shift move (copy) a moveable proxy/instance - and it's not longer moveable - have to restart viewport - renderable on off works now ..
..and I noticed that you fixed when you delete an object the viewport doesn't self unpause - nice
..BTW most all the options in the postprocessing don't restart the render, only aperture - and now AI denoiser - maybe put those in the same group - kind of a UX thing approach -

Hi richardyarlett,

This is a TEST release with new features implemented, so some issues are expected. Please report the bugs in the "Bug reports" section.
Please note that this release is based on Octane V4 XB3, and is not recommended for production work :
As with all experimental and test releases, please do not use this build for production work, and please note that we still classify this as an experimental release. We cannot guarantee that scenes saved with this version would be compatible with future releases.

ORC is 3.08x SDK based.

..so apparently I'm using this for production (I know), and it's working fine.. bugs fixed from before .. only that shift copy of instance doesn't behave..
- same thing with make unique - it doesn't octane viewport still thinks it's an instance, but the 3dmax viewport behaves as it should - so check on make unique and copying of instanced moveable proxies (copying as in make a copy of and instance, not copy instance to instance)
.. and yeah, pretty stable, denoiser seems to do it's thing, feels like I've almost added another gpu

Thanks Paride..I had posted my question in the 4.0 topic...
so its my understanding that offline mode is now working but still not very stable and developers are advising that we stick with 3.07 yes?

Hi Nildoe,
we are talking about development, it has not yet integrated into V 3.08 or V4
if you need offline, mode 3.07 it's the only solution.

I'm trying this version for a couple of days. Generally it's very fast and works stable for me. BUT; I guess there is a big problem with Forest Pack plugin. Because if there are some forest objects in scene 3ds Max crashes very often. Changing environment texture, entering material editor, importing an object to scene, trying to switch to CLAY mode.. everything causes an instant crash. I try same scene without Forest objects. There is no big problem without them.Rarely crashes..
This may caused by Forest or VRAM.I have 2 1080TI for rendering and scene takes 6.9GB in vram. Denoiser GPU is 780 TI..
