I'm not sure about upgrading to 2018. Money is tight, and I don't want to pay for a new way to surface in LW, when all I surface in is Octane. I'll need to do some asking around to see what some of the other benefits are.

Regarding changes in the SDK, Juanjgon, is there any chance of implementing a LW-like Gradient node? I know I haven't asked about it for a long time, but I still would love to be able to do gradients the same way the gradient node in LW does. (based on distance from object being the most important to me)

Any more info you could share on timeline for plugin release? We are two weeks from initial release with discussions of proper plugin release now. I'm sure it's not held up by you but if there was any public information that could be shared many of us that upgraded to 2018 would be happy to hear I'm sure.

The plugin is ready, but it only can work with the Octane 3.08 API, and I must wait for the next Octane 3.08 Standalone and API build to release the plugin to all the users. It can be a matter of few days, but I'm not sure.

Nope, sorry, the current LW2015 plugin builds don't work with LW2018. I'm sorry, but we must wait for the upcoming new 3.08 plugin build, that is going to include the first proper version for LW 2018.

Man, this is torture. Want to play with 2018, but don't want to start down the route of learning its texturing
