Yes, this is the latest release and it works with R12 & R13. As read in another thread... we have to expect a new release in few months thanks to the return of Abstrax

we need a strong man for the best 3d program!!!
cinema 4d!!
when you will make an integration inside it like in 3ds max?
R13 studio in Burbank

Hello, I am freelance vfx artist out of Los Angeles. I work with a studio in Burbank interested in using Octane with Cinema 4D r13. Is there a r13 build? Also is there a way to use a HDR image with the exported file and set it to path tracing instead of direct lighting? If we could get a scene to export with and HDR environment and then render with path tracing we could make this engine work in our pipeline. Thanks you so much for working with this package.

Hi Natalie,
The R12 build works also with R13 and R14. The scene setup is done in Octane, the exporter only exports the geometry. In a nutshell, the way how all the export scripts work is:
1. Initial export to Octane. Octane opens.
2. Setup your environment, scene, materials, whatever you like.
3. Render.
4. If the geometry changed in your C4D scene: Save the Octane project. Close Octane. Reexport the C4D scene to the same project name. This will update the geometry and re-open Octane.
Cheers,
Marcus

Hi Marcus,
good to have you back here again.
We were afraid that Octane for C4D were dead forever.
Will there be a complete integration of Octane in C4D like it already exists for 3D Max ?
The exporter is ok, but to fully use the power of Octane within C4D, an integration like VrayforC4D would be needed.
I see in Octane THE ultimate unbiased realtime renderer for C4D , as it is by far better and quicker than Iray (M4D) and Maxwell (that I also own). VrayforC4D will provide Vray-RT in the near future (hopefully), but I think Octane has a better use of NVIDIA-GPU's than all other solutions on the market.
So I would really like to use the full power of Octane fully integrated in C4D as this conjunction could be a unique couple and set a standard for unbiased realtime rendering as VrayforC4D already does for the standard render-way.
Already any plans for this ?

i second this post...
octane looks promising but the workflow/integration in c4d is still very basic.
a full integration would be a revolution in workflow!
