In theory - yes (although I doubt anyone has tried this yet). Bandwidth might be an issue on large scenes (since all the textures need to be transferred), and finding the slave PC's may mean you need to manually type in the IP address of the slave.

Are all features in and you're just in a closed beta test phase?

You anyone wanting to know further details, I have revised the manual to include the up-coming Octane 2.0 features. http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Poser/?page_id=298

Like, right now! Log in, go to your account's Downloads page, select "OctaneRender for Smith Micro Poser" from the drop-down, and voilĂ ! You need to upgrade to Octane Standalone 2.0 to activate it (99 Euros, comes with one free plug-in upgrade).

I've been playing with it a little bit, and I am psyched. Displacement mapping looks great so far, IBL + Daylight looks great, subdivision looks great, strand hair looks...well, like strand hair, but that's Poser's fault. Area render is freaking awesome - I never fully appreciated how useful it could be with Octane.

The interface quirks from 1.50 seem to be gone (e.g., changing from RGB Image to Grayscale Image keeps the same image file, as in pre-1.50), and maybe I didn't notice before but there's now a Clay Mode option and subsampling options, just like in Standalone.

Paul, I love you.
