Unfortunately I can't reproduce any crashes. I played for 10 minutes by moving vertexes and pressing the update button.

I also have problems when reloading the geometry in Octane's viewport. Not always but quite often, when I press the reload button 3D max is crashing.
This bug is really annoying, I have to save my scene every 5 min if I don't wanna loose my work.
Thanks for your attention. I hope this could be fixed for next release.

Are you using dirt texture?

Yes I do, to create a "painted metal" shader, (if I remember well) I use a mix of a dirt diffuse and a bluish glossy.

There is some bug with dirt in material preview which can lead to crash

nobody find ao of transparent material too dark ?

Isn´t it in the nature of all Direct Light modes, that they don´t take into account transparent shadows?
