I have problems with render region in the new plugin, I cant see the region.

Maybe youre just not seeing the red region border because you arent zoomed at 100%.

It looks like the change to using sharp resizing, also changes the visibility of the region border when you arent zoomed to 100%

Yes, the change from "sharp" to "smooth" interpolation has broken the render region box. I will fix this in the next release.
