not possible, because live viewer is not using render data. It's working on scene data. We can't get hairs out of videopost. sorry

Here is some that I didn't find how it works or it was a bug:
Octane Render 2.12.2
1 - Alpha is black in viewport
2 - Materials preview object is only "sphere" (Plane was needed)
3 - Material>Editor>Animation Preview: Not working. Can't get work Animated Preview in viewport.
4 - Material>Editor>Editor Display: Always on Combined mode and this mode can't be switched.
no support on opengl
if I will turn OFF OpenGL in preference..still not working. Or in C4D this is not possible at all?
i have spent soo much time for alpha for opengl in past without any succes. And giveup for undefined while.
2- is octane limitation
3- yes not works atm.
4- it's possible with some modifications, but not yet.

It's pretty small, but if I change Ray Epsilon setting from the default 0.0001, I cannot reset it to that default setting by entering the value. The 0nly way to set it back is Settings>Reset, which resets all to default.

But is this works in 3DSMax?

there is an issue sometimes bothering: render restarts while moving the mouse on the C4d viewport.

keep "geo. updates" off, as a workaround. Many objects can trigger messages, hard to detect %100.
Hi,
I guess figure it out where it comes from. When deactivate the Outline then the problem has gone. Hope it helps.
Edit: still some triggers but rarely.

I've just installed the v2.12.2 (both standalone and C4D plugin) on my Mac.
I am running the latest CUDA drivers.
Live Viewer render anymore. Only black.
I also tried downgrading to v2.06.1 - same problem.
Am I missing something obvious here?
Could this be an license activation issue?
Thanks in advance!

Hey Robert, nice to see you here.
Why don't you install the latest versions? 2.14

Because it's only a test version... but you're right. I will at least try it out now.
There we go! I guess it was the CUDA driver after all!
Even though it said "No newer CUDA driver available", I could manually download a newer one. Now it works!
