Hi Chrisvis,
What mobo do you have?

Hi Seeker,

I have a ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe. Added to my signature now.
BTW, I didn`t have any issues with my second Turbobox PSU (580W) and GPU disappearings again.
Changed a cable, and using the older NVIDIA driver since 4 weeks now... and rendered thousands of frames without any issues or crashes.
Maybe I will check the newer NVIDIA driver (320.49) soon, because with NVIDIA 314.22 I do get some OpenGL troubles with After Effects, while rendering with all external GPUs. Had lots of troubles with 320.18... so I decided to skip it.

Greetings,
ChrisVis

Since this is a benchmark thread... I did some benchmarking with the good old benchmark scene from the first post... and here are some results with octane 1.20 and my 8 GPUS (2x GTX580 beast, 3x GTX590 beast).

pathtracing, maxdepth 16, alphashadows enabled: 24,83 Ms/sec
pathtracing, maxdepth 16, alphashadows disabled: 30,72 Ms/sec
pathtracing, maxdepth 8, alphashadows disabled: 33,09 Ms/sec

Does anyone have a GTX 760 or does anyone know what result might you get from the benchmark scene. Just need to know whether this card is good enough for performance compared to to the 6xx series and 5xx series cards.

Yep for rendering it blows, I am fine with it strictly as a display card for maya and ae.

Just speculating on Boxx benchmarks appears to be rebranded Titan with a Quadro name/driver support and 12GB memory. Hopefully this will drop the prices of the 6GB cards down the road.

Was wondering how long NVidia was going to let the Titan hold the spotlight.

"Was wondering how long NVidia was going to let the Titan hold the spotlight."

usually cards in different segment do not inluence price, so inthis way addition of 12gb pro model, wouldn' have to lower Titans - that's different markets, different custumers these are targeted to =)

Just got a GTX 770 4GB card (Gigabyte OC version) and tested it with older GTX 570 2.5GB in OT 1.20 on newly built Hackintosh system.

Under OS X:
GTX 770 & GTX 550
6.92 Ms/sec

Under Win 7:
GTX 770 & GTX 550
6.92 Ms/s
GTX 770 : 74c and fan at 50%
GTX 570: 75c and fan at 47%

Are these temps too high? I have a Cooler Master HAF-X 942 case with 6 fans and it is supposed to be well rated for air flow.

I did get temps down a bit through Precision X after ticking the check box to "enable software automatic fan control." Is this a setting I should keep enabled? Temps for 770 went down to 70c / 70% and the 570 to 67c / 67%.
