But I want it to start with my own saved defaults - not the factory values. It was working fine until like 2 or 3 updates ago, and then it started loading the values from a particular scene I had worked on whenever it starts up. I can still manually load my custom default values with "Load from Default", but the plugin is starting with these other values now. I have been using my own custom start up default values since v1 of the plugin, and it has always worked. What is happening now seems to be something new, and it started happening somewhere 2 or 3 updates ago.

Seems like V4 and M4 have this delay while other figures (clothes and other stuff) works fine. Alison2 also have a little delay while Andy doesn't have any. Weird.

UPDATE: loading just the bare Poser figure didn't get me delays, but today I started working on a complete character (clothes, materials and hair), and the delays are back again. Looks like the amount of geometry or materials in the scene affect how much delay we get.
Here again I have tested if I get delays without opening the preview, and I do. That seems to be unrelated. I have also noticed that materials from a prop on the scene get NO delays, but conforming cloth and figures do. Apparently, I ONLY get delays from clicking on NUMERIC fields (Greyscale Color, Float, etc). For example, boolean and color swatches get no delay. So far I have tested with Dawn and V4, and the same happens to both.
Since I believe the plugin doesn't deal with rigging, I wonder why props are not affected, but figures are?

When you click on a float or grayscale value pin, the plugin populates the "Control from Dial" combobox. Is the pause longer when the number of values in this box are greater?

When the float pin has more than 1 value, like X, Y and Z, I get no delays at all. It only seems to happen to single value fields.
The part that freezes up is the bottom one where the values are entered. Once I click on a single field float/Greyscale value, that part freezes up (blank) and gets populated only after the delay. That's probably where the problem is.
EDIT: I have done another test:
1. Removed all conforming parts from the scene, left only the base figure, and the delays still happen.
2. Removed all materials and textures from the scene, and I still get the delays.
Therefore the delays are not related to amount of items or materials in scene. With just Dawn on scene with no materials (plain white), I still get the delays.

I get a half second pause when I click on a float or float text node in the Antonia model. Half a second seems reasonable given the plugin needs to search for all morphs for that figure and popular the combobox with them. If there is a 3min delay, then something else is amiss....

I would be fine with half a sec pause, but I am having 5-10s delays. Sometimes longer. If the plugin is collecting morphs from the figure, that would explain why it doesn't affect props - the ones I tried have no morphs. The other float nodes I have tried with 3 values also list no morphs, so my best guess is that the morphs collecting is the culprit. My figure is indeed LOADED with morphs, and it appears the plugin is also listing hidden JCM controls, so the list easily gets LONG.
There is a pretty good chance that solves the mystery. That would also explain why I got no delays when I loaded V4 with no morphs. I am not even sure why listing morphs when I am editing materials?

I get a 25sec pause on the standard Genesis figure. Are the pausing > 1 only happening for people on Genesis figures perhaps?

Dawn is not a DAZ3D figure, so this is not related to Genesis. It seems to be only related to the amount of morphs on the figure, and that explains why different people get different amounts of delay.

Iterating through all the Antonia dials (NOT adding them to the combobox) takes 2 secs. Doing the same and adding each morph to the Dial combo box takes 20-25 secs. I will have the plugin filter out morph names like "CTRLRIG_*" to reduce the total number of morphs being added to the Dial combo box. Pls tell me any other morph names you would like filtered out. And I will add a checkbox to the configuration to turn OFF Dial linking (it will default to Dial linking OFF).
