So, after some tests or technical compares of other alternative render engines :
Arion - Indigo - M4D - Maxwell (to test the "Fire" render preview) ...
Octane seems to be the fastest and which have the nicest GI coverage for my opinion.
Cant wait to see the C4D plugin be finished ...

I can't wait too, C4D is the only software i can handle and understand (ah... ergonomic layout and logical menus understable by newbie are everything).
Especially if all of the material settings are kept and just have to make final adjustement.
(sorry for my english)
edit : i just do a "suggestion" on maxon website.

It seems like Refractive would have been able to find someone by now with both C4D and C++ experience.

It looks like Santa is only bringing toys to the Autodesk kids.

I bought an Octane Render license even while in Beta with the assumption that they were developing the C4D plugin reasonably parallel with the other plugins. Am I stuck without a paddle here? I've gone back to using Vray and the native Physical Renderer a lot because of this.
Is there any chance I can get my money back so I can use it for something more useful in the meantime? I'll just buy Octane Render when it is actually of use to me (even for small experiments). Right now, it's very useless since even experimenting with it takes an inordinate amount of time and full of bugs as opposed to experimenting with established renderers.
I'd be less anxious about the current state of C4D support if they just gave updates instead of remaining silent, making us think they are doing something about the situation when they just might be foregoing us for now. An official word on the development status would seriously be great, am I right? We at least deserve that much for supporting the product in beta stages even when there's no working plugin we can reasonably sink our teeth in.
GPU rendering would be very welcome in the Motion Graphics scene since many are independent contractors who do graphics on an individual basis as opposed to working on a team with the Autodesk products with workflows already designated for industry popular render engines. This means, we can change up render engines whenever we want. All we need is a C4D plugin that works seamlessly with animations even if we have to bake that animation in.
