I have a strange bug though. I opened an older scene from 2017 and by rendering it, Cinema crashes without an error message. With Octane V4.02.1 the scene renders without any problems. I did some testing and noticed that a few Materials cause this Issue. Actually the textures seems to be the problem. I was able to fix the issue by renaming the same textures and reconnecting them in the material. They are all located within the regular tex folder. Renaming and reloading all the textures would be pretty unpractical, any idea what causes this?
Thanks,
Tobi
Hi again,
I tried your scene in R18/R19. I cannot see any problems. How to reproduce the crash?
Mhm interesting. It crashes either by loading the scene into the live viewer or by opening the material. The material window opens for a few seconds and cinema 4d crashes. I guess its happening when Octane is loading the textures.
I try to record the situation later. Thanks so far.

Good Build. Feels very stable. I hope it keeps like this in future upgrades.
Two things:
1. Is it possible to make C4D remenber "Use for denoising" user configuration like all others options after reopening C4D?
2. I'm having this issue with converted shaders and newly created materials, the Sheen channel behaves weird from the moment it is created. After some tweaking it behaves normally. (see gif)
Cheers,

Cheers,
1. Use a template scene, I think better for people.
2. I'll check it, thanks!

1. I mean even for already created and saved scenes. When they are reopened C4D wont remenber what I set. Everything else is remenbered. I wonder why I must recheck it everytime I open a 3 month project.
Thanks,

Are you talking about settings/devices section?

Thanks for the new realese, Aoktar.
Can I hope for an upgrade of the volumetric spotlight? I could not remove the black shadow and would be comfortable to be able to decide the shape and the diffusion of the light.

Hello, thanks Aoktar for this update 2018-1.
Is this update "V5?" I understood that at this step, I must now buy a subscription, even if I already have a license for V4 standalone + C4D plugin. But sorry when I go on Otoy Shop, I don't really understand. In my situation, should I choose "Update" Enterprise Subscription € 199 / year?
Why Enterprise Subscription is under "Buy" tab and "Studio Subscriptions" is under "Rent" tab?
Certainly, my understanding of the English language is far from good, but it seems that I'm not alone in having trouble understanding the switch from the license system to the subscription system. So Otoy's communication on this point could be reviewed.

I don't know very well this system but as I can get that you cannot use 2018.1 with V4. You may need a monthly subscription or yearly. I'll call for some help about details.

in the same boat here. i have 3 regular V4 licenses which i used with lightwave until now. as i am about to switch to cinema 4d i allready bought a "all access" upgrade for one of my V4 licenses for 199 USD. in the download plugin section in my account, all other platforms are listed, but not cinema 4D. can we get an update for this very soon, please ? or some information what we can do to use the plugin in cinema. the licensing error message is not clear at this point about what is the problem.
ps. i knew that the c4d plugin is officially not ready for "aal access" yet, but here we are talking about the beta version, that's why i'm asking.
