So in theory you have enough RAM to render the scene. Are you using a lot of render passes perhaps?, or any really big texture of more than 4k? ... it is really hard to know the source of the problem without the scene. And you are right, it is very weird that the scene could be rendered with only one GPU, but not with two :(

You are going to need to disable things in the scene to know what is the source of the problem. I can see that you have objects with displacement, please disable them to know if displacement could be the problem.

i left out displacement from many materials.... lets see what happens...
it doesnt solve the problem
i am not very happy since i purchased another gpu to render twice faster and i can use just one gpu...

If you are using instances, disable them in the render target root node option panel. Also, what kind of textures are you using? Is there any texture with more than 4k resolution? ... sometime ago I have seen a corrupted 8k texture file that crash the render.

One test, can you try to render your scene in clay mode?

Other question. Do you have the NVidia drivers updated?

And any of the two GPUs can render it, but not if both are enabled at the same time, right? ... it is really strange if none of the GPUs are used as display GPUs and they have the same RAM :(

just as you said....
but ther is something really wrong with system ram usage with this scene because after the first render ram goes froa 35% to 64%, once the render is stopped ram usage stays at 64% and at the netx render system run out of memory... even crhome is crashing

Yeah, something is really broken in this scene. It is the realflow scene, right? ... and if you remove all the realflow stuff from the scene all works fine?
