- target is lights
- ies distribution wireframe preview
- flat or spherical ies emission
- light projectors
- convergent stereoscopic camera
- correct, serious and professional anaglyph preview
- anisotropic reflections
- 2d texture preview on material slots, for mixed materials too.
- camera selection through the connection line
before I die I'd like to see these features implemented.

My short list of features I really miss when using Octane:
Falloff with a curve (For creating fabric, dust etc)
Curve control for bitmaps
Multitexture equivalent (For loading multiple textures for floors etc)
Bercon maps equivalent
AO/Dirt with inputs for occluded color, unoccluded color and radius/distance (Edge wear etc)
Composite map

My wish list:
Everything the C4D plugin has.
(Set time limits on frame renders (this is critical!), production usable liveDB (1 material at a time??? really?), bitmaps visible in view ports immediately after conversions, import orbx, convert (not just read) other light types to octane lights, and better stability)
Seriously, how does Max with a bigger user base not have the same features??
It would also be great to be able to import textures (and more) from standalone files.

I am reading these forums. We just did a major refactoring on the 3DS Max plug-in to support max script, we will be able to get back to other things on the to do list. It is now possible to control Octane a lot more in Max through script (i.e. set render times per frame), but I agree the UI should provide this too.

Some Wishes, some are bugfixes.
- make random colors stick to the object, when xrefs so they dont change color every render
- a matte material/object that when reflected in scene geometry reflects the matte objects color/mat. ie like vray
- ability to export Postprocess pass setting to post - maybe with an LUT export? Otherwise we cannot recreate the post process settings we see in Octane, using rendering passes in PS or AE.

My current wishlist
Include/Exclude for lights : I miss this a lot for product viz, infinitely handy to add highlights to different components without affecting the whole scene.
Imitates real photography when taking multiples shots and photoshopping a highlight from one shot to another, but a damn sight quicker/easier.

Backplate option Or is this a core engine related request??
Custom Fresnel Curve
Ray Switcher a la Corona Ray Switcher
On a side note, I am learning to understand that GPU coding is 'challenging' so appreciate now the time it may take to introduce features, I have only being using Octane a week and the results have been outstanding. I really look forward to the future of Octane as more production level features are added!!

Some of your requests have already been mentioned in this post. Apart from that all the feat. requests are related to core. And I personally remember most of them being requested in standalone and general forums.
