also, the plugin also doesn't rerender when I change some parameters IN the plugin (focal distance and a few others on the render parameters page).

- reloading a saved scene loses some materials ( not just the parameters, they are loading empty )

- converting materials is much longer than it used to be

- single point focusing doesn't work or leads to crash

- GPU/GPUs still used at 99% when you close the preview window


Nice job on the other fixes though.

Picked quite the week for vacation.

One question - geografts - fixed in any of these builds? 1.5?

Apparently the SDK hasn't changed so I assume the OR plugin should be compatible with the latest build of DS?

yes and no. even if methods don't change, there can be substantial changes to what they do and in particular when (as happened before). or like with the camera, where the 4.7 beta added some property and the indexes of the properties did change - and so broke the camera in the plugin. since i touch almost any aspect of the ds api, like probably no other plugin does, any little change in the api behavior can brake sthg. somewhere in the plugin.

@linvanchene:
i usually do _not_ jump on the newest ds beta. the octane api is still a volatile environment, i'm still in beta myself (and have to investigate problems), so adding another beta on top is a little much to keep development sane. like Spectralis wrote, the ds sdk didn't change, so anything built against it should work up from ds 4.5.x, but like noted above that isn't necessarily true ;) so if someone brings a problem with a new ds beta to my attention i'm of course try to add a fix, but i won't use it for development right away...

Just to report that my problem was with the graphic drivers, they were too old, once I upgraded everything is good.
