displacement generates geometry at render time (that you don't have in your viewport). the gpu's need that raw geometry. so altering your settings will result in recalculating and reuploading the geometry to the gpu's I guess.
alternative (for speed improvement and/or gpu memory lowering): normal bump or bump. especially with normal bump you can achieve great results. but I guess you know that :)
I tried wireframe info channel on a test scene with displacement. it's kind of interesting. it shows the wires of the plane.
not sure anymore about what I just said... maybe karba can explain it better.

edit: ok now i can see the mesh:

I will investigate the issue.
Hi Karba, did you achieve to reproduce the issue about motion blur and Pflow ? If yes is there a way for you to solve it ?

Thanks, Regards.

Hi Karba,

here is an interview with Juraj Talcik and Adam Hotovy, please watch it and find out what was the feature that allowed Juraj Talcik to switch his workflow from vray to corona.
This feature needs more attention because is verry old, it needs contstant updates.

Hope this motivates you to update that.
Thanks

So, what's the feature you want to see?
Better material converter?

I understand the material converter is almost impossible to convert all the right way..but it sure would be VERY nice if it had a little more attention...i have so many vray libraries that sometimes i prefer to hand convert them, because converter is very limited.

Hi Karba! I know it might be a little off-topic but I just wanted to say that I have added another GPU to my system - Nvidia GTX 780 Ti!!! Now I have 2 GPUS 780 + 780 Ti. The render speed is now 2x faster! It ROCKS!!!! :o

HEEEEEEELP!!!!

Forest Pack pro bug!!!

I need this feature enabled again because I have to complete an important work. Please!

See the attached images. With the 1.18 release scattered people (cardboards) are render fine. With 2.11.1a I have no output (forest pack).

Also if I try to flat the geometry with forest tools (utilities) all cardboards are rendered black!

No problem with 3d trees, they are render correctly.

thank you.

edit:
I found a workaround. If I apply a shell modifier the cardboards they are rendered. Single sheet geometries aren't rendered by Octane 2.11.1a within Forest Pack Pro.

Why i can't full 3gb memory ?

Thank you.
