Maybe it is stable on ubuntu but not so in windows 7. It crashes a lot.

I'm not sure you need to know how a fishing rod is made to be able to fish.

Very few people here know how Octane is made :) Which are those technical things that are bothering you?

it depends on the way you use it.
everyone here is accustomed to use it so it does'nt crash.
yet, the few that don't should report in detail a procedure so we can find/fix these last bugs...

Thanks,

Hello, i'm really amazed by octane, i think this is a pure masterpiece and i'm pretty sure it has a really good destiny ;) .
Just one suggestion, It would be great if you could add a noise reducer slide and a sharpening slide with a high pass filter :D . It would save us time and preserve us from terrible "pain" of using photoshop , .

Thank you !

Any resolution to the 'opening saved project bug' reported in this post? (and probably some follow-up posts on this thread?)

http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... 0&start=30

also, is the an option in the works to 'save' camera views, or even from that matter, importing saved views from the imported application? Or, maybe it already does and I just haven't tuned into it properly yet...

Thank you

Update:
Finding this occurance happens on 'some' but not all saved work. I'm just wondering why a time tested standard all of a sudden goes bad?

I know, but it only removes high value pixels, not the same thing as noise ;)

I had a planning to develop archtetural and interior projects in my customer houses at real time using the developing method I created and when I saw octane I saw my dreams coming true that was the missing piece fo my method.

If it needs a internet connection to works, my plans are going down...

Because I always will have this obstacle.

There“s a alternative option for my situation?

Sorry for my bad english, but I think you can understand what I said.

The great guys at Blender Cookie have been doing some blender/octane tutorials recently. Sadly one of the main things they have been demoing is how often Octane crashes. Stability is the no.1 problem with Octane at the moment.
