there is no 64 folder in this location, just 9 & 10
There is a '64' folder in your screenshot above. That is where the installer will have put the octane.dat file.

I have added all the info from this thread into the manual - see Installation Troubleshooting - http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Poser/?page_id=26.

Yep, that worked. Uninstall Poser 2014. Install P14, then Octane, Then SR1. Thanks. You the Man

On another note.... In your opinion, what is the best way to Light scene? IBL, no IBL, just a few standard spot lights converted to emitters?

IBL is the way to be if you can get good maps (http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=146). Supplement with a couple of emitters if needed. I use emitters as little is possible, since they render slower.

Thanks. 1 more thing, after emitters are created, moving them in Poser does not show a change in light. I guess I have to delete them, reposition lights and run python script for emitters again?

Have you got auto-refresh turned on? The emitter is just like only other scene geometry, and the vertex positions will be updated when changed in Poser if auto-refresh is on.
