I have a short video idea to celebrate 2.3 changes when it comes out, don't care if there is a competion, but as soon as it comes out and I have time, I'll give it a shot... (blame my weird sense of humor if you don't like it....

you've been warned )

About the turntable rendering bug...
It's quite a tricky one and as radiance is currently sick, I'll deal with a lot of other stuff which might delay the release of the fix. In the mean time, I'd like to collect as much information as I can on the issue so I've created a new thread here
http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... =23&t=2255
so we don't swamp this one
Thanks,
/M

give all our regards and best wishes to radiance, and tell'im to take it easy, all work and no play makes of jack a dull (and rich) boy, and who wants to be rich, right?

I might give it a try.

I'm surprised that the entries for both competitions have been so small so far.Is everyone waiting for the last day?

Well, for my own, I fear that I will not be able to do more than a Turntable animation in best case. I am currently attempting to switch from Windows XP Pro 32bits to Windows 7 Pro 64 bits for a better memory management, but I encounter hardware compatibility problems with my ASUS p5k, so I waste much time.
I couldn't run the Microsoft Compatibility software "Windows7UpgradeAdvisor" because tests must be done on line and my workstation is not connected on Internet for safety reasons (I have a dedicated PC for Internet in a separate room).
I also admit that the current huge exporting to obj time, necessary for regular animation, doesn't motivate me much...

Originally I had planned for a much longer animation, but after seeing the exporting times in some test renders I have trimmed it down to make sure it is in on time, so I completely understand.
Good luck with the Windows 7 x64 upgrade. I haven't had an issue thus far with it, aside from an install issue here or there.
