if everytime i need export file that i need to add a new project then will add a obj and mtl file in my folder...
so ...if i do ten times ...there are ten files in it .
i think it's not smart . it should be automatic not be manually.
but when you delete ocs file in your forlder manually . this situation won't happen.that is my test.
I agree with you.
I want a option that older/existing projects can overwriten.
Everytime you hit then the render button, you have the materials from Blener, Softimage, Maya, Max or what ever.
But you loss then the settings from Octane.
I think a user should know, when he want a new project.
To test some meshes, add new, change materials it would be usefull that option to have.
Is all ok, then i can uncheck that, beginn to setup the materials and other things in Octane and save the scene.

Hi, i don't now if this the right area, but i can't control my export to obj with blender layers.
Even i hide meshes the resulting obj has all layers inside.
So i had to delete meshes before i export if i don't would like to render it.
Does the script provides layers?
I can not test it before a linux version is available.

Thanks, mib

If you are talking about the OBJ export script provided with Blender, indeed it doesn't take care of visible layers/objects. The Octane script we provide only export objects that are visible (based on an option) from layers that are visible (not an option), so just wait a bit more and the Linux version will bring you what you are expecting.

is there any has the same problem like this?
Ok I see your problem, in this case the only solution is to replace the ocs (project) file and for now you must delete it, I added a button to force the replacement, will see if this could be added to the script guide lines.

Hi there,

I updated the script (see top of that thread), this version doesn't bring any fix as I didn't got feedback about problems but it now includes a toggle button to replace the project file (ocs), it is automatically reset to off state after the exportation to avoid accidental replacement.

Thanks to report any problem.
