That will be possible, inside the GUI they are a scatter object. You just make a couple, export the OBJs, then link them up and attach your cloud material(s). Be aware though that this already pushing it with 40 layers. If you have the GPU power, you can go crazy with it. (I'm on GTX 780+770+770)

Small preview of the GUI part for CLOUD-scatter. As easy to use as it gets, should be pretty straightforward.

Unfortunately I can't seem to get the curve working again... so it will be uncurved for now.

I do have another incredible advancement in 1.7, one that greatly benefits users who do very demanding scatters. I will now update the manual and then the official release will follow shortly.

I released Phantom Scatter 1.7 to all licensees, and then my webhost went down for the first time in years. Perfect timing... let's hope they get it fixed soon.

Phantom Scatter 1.7 is now available!

All licensees should have gotten an e-mail with the download. If not, please contact me!

Visit the website here: http://guusthissen.nl/scatter/

» Added function 'transparency', allowing you to display the scene transparent or opaque
» Added a new scatter type: CLOUD-scatter (this exports an OBJ, not a CSV).
» Added properties for CLOUD-scatter: 'size', 'height', 'layers', 'layer spacing'.
» Added function 'export obj' for CLOUD-scatter.
» Fixed function 'scatter disable' for RAY-scatter.
» Removed function 'motion blur'. This feature caused graphical problems.
» Due to a new (and very volatile) drawing system, there is a problem with the way I was bending the GUI into a curve. I am drawing it flat instead of curved for now until this problem in the API is solved.
» Phantom Scatter now runs in an execution format native to Windows: a high performance C++ environment. Everything in and around the program executes at a much higher efficiency: faster OBJ import, faster interface interaction, faster scatter previews, faster CSV export.
» Because of this new execution format, Windows XP is not longer supported but should still work (probably).

It is not new... (Last xmas video screenshots)
I could render some sharp stills and PM you?
The sattelites are scattered around the earth,
And the astronauts on the ground around the xmas tree are scattered with brush to get more density around the tree.
I am doing a lot of scattering using your great tool when making hedgdes in archviz... I will see if I can show nice detail on that.
Are you in a hurry, or can it wait till Eastern?
Greetz,

No hurry, just looking for cool images to post on my site and show what my tool can do.

I like that 2nd image, could you make a high res version of it (1920x1080) and without that HUD interface thing?
