tried that with version 2.15, 2.16 and 2.22

they're usually gone when I close the plugin and open it again

Hi Paul,
I recently loaded a figure from my runtime with saved Octane materials and got the same error.
one of the texture files was missing, the other had been moved.
It would be nice if the plugin could ask for the missing files on this occasion, too.
It might get uncomfortable for someone without advanced copy and replace skills in a .cr2 file otherwise... ;)

I think, in general the plugin shouldn't take the file locations for granted.

I will see if this can be done in the next release.

I just checked the plugin - and for me it is doing this already. Perhaps because the file you were loading was very old, it was using the old node saving system, and there is not much I can do about that. If you simply "Save Octane Nodes to Poser Material" after loading these old files, it should replace the materials with the new system (you will obviously need to re-link any missing texturemaps).

yeah - it might well have been a pre - version 2 file.
Is there a quick way to remove the Octane info from the .cr2 file with an editor? I have no problem re-applying them in the plugin, but I fear, I might run into this problem more than once (yes - I do have quite a few Octane-ready saves :? )

I think you'll only hit this issue when you "Reconvert from Poser" that material - so the easy workaround is to load the scene, start the plugin, then save that material to the Poser material.

no, the problem appears when I load the saved .cr2 into Poser and then open the plugin. It always stops working with the error messages, so I don't have a change to do something within the plugin in the first place. The only chance I have is to clean the cr2 beforehand.

If you send me one of those cr2 giving the error I'll see if I can fix the problem.
