Thanx a lot for the update... Magnificent work
Awsome Brush.
And curious about how 'archicad fix' works....
Looking forward to 'play' around with the new version

Can't wait to try the brush tool. Guus Thissen asked for uploads - all to populations in attached image generated using Phantom Scatter.
Cheers

greetZ from 'PLANET XMAS'
The trees are done with the new Brush feature

great feature Guus! Thanx
remark:
I could have used multi scatter; one for trees with and one for without lights... but I got the idea after rendering with white lights to add a non-light tree as well... so I did two renders and a little postproduction to get the wanted result.
Rendering is done with PT.. original size 6400x3200px
cheers

I have a small update coming up (Phantom Scatter 1.6 b). I've noticed that when placing custom instances, it's hard to tell how much certain meshes (like trees) should be spaced apart. So what I'm introducing now is a feature where PS can display preview cones... you can enter a cone radius and cone height as you like. So if you have a certain tree model, just determine a representative cone radius and height, and then you can place them around without a lot of guess work.

Hi Guus,
Besides the cone it self it would great ro have the direction of the z-orientation visualized...
Maybe a line from the centerbase to th egde ot he cone?
Greetz,

The cones you are looking at are cones with a random z-rotation, so naturally they don't show their rotation. When placing an instance using 'brush single (custom z)', they should show a green vector displaying their orientation... I see that I made a little mistake which makes them display wrongfully. I'll bring an update ASAP next morning that deals with this problem.

Anybody having any problems with the see-through graphics of the imported OBJ models? I've been thinking of adding the option to do SSAO (
