i could make a QT ver, ill see if i have time ;)

at this point i need to fix some main bugs and probl with exporter, UI is on 2nd place...

I agree - lets worry about making it pretty after it is functional and working for everyone :)

Agreed, that is the way to roll, but I saw some posts where the UI seemed to be the cause of some issues:
"Unfortunately, I don't get all the options I should showing in linux - resizing the window does no good".

I am new here and after I familiarize myself with the software, I would be willing to help with whatever is needed.

ur right, and thats a very stupid thing to happen, coz mel is mel, maya 2009 is 2009
and everything should be the same no matter what OS u have, so we come to conclusion that AD didnt do what they should :) (if u know what i mean :D )

i test it under linux 2011 and everything was fine ;), now im installing 2009 and ill check the same thing and make corrections

Please check resolution too - I think I have seen issues with like this with other plugins, and I think I run at a lower res than most (1280x1024 - I can't afford better monitors) :cry:

i will, im running on 1680x1050 here ;)

what do u think about tabs?

maybe i could split settings into few tabs for people on linux ;)

That could work, but it would probably be better to keep everything universal and the same, no batter the platform. Of course it all depends on what the problem is I am seeing here (my screenshot). The cause/reason might be a simple thing.

OK - I can get it to export an OBJ, but that is about it. I have to then MANUALLY start octane and bring it in. When I manually import the scene, It is at the default resolution - no matter what I specify in the plugin window. It is definitely better though.
