Not only cuda core, but a new Fermi architecture.
I'm waiting some 470-480 test too.
I'm in line to get one...it's gonna be FERMI Time!!!

Radiance asked me to try out the benchmark with my GTX 470. I used gzavye's octane file for the benchmark.

hey,
can you post it here too:

so people can compare with the same scene ?
Thanks,

btw, can you also post the speed or a screenshot of it ? eg megasamples/sec while it's rendering ?

shieet might want to boost the fan speed with EVGA Precision

Yeah, I've read people getting similar temperatures from the Fermi cards, since they run hotter, but I'm going to play around with the vga utility. I'm using the Asus SmartDoctor that came with the card set to autofan. I will play with manual fan settings for different temperatures to increase the fan speed.

@DavidT
Hmmm. GTX 470 have 446 cuda cores. Did you made a typo or device manager sees only 112 cores?

Octane's device manager shows 112 cores, but it also says the capability mode is 1.0. Perhaps the Fermi optimized build that Radiance mentioned will report these values properly.

Maybe that is the reason for lower than expected performance. Is it possible that octane uses only 112 cores?

i'm not sure.
I think the cuda 3.0 toolkit has bugs in it, it does'nt seem to detecht the fermi cards propperly, i sent a mail to nvidia to ask them.
i'm not sure it only uses 112 cores.
i don't think so otherwise he would'nt have that temperature when rendering.
