My Beta 2 crashing issues are slightly different...

Loaded Beta 2 and the Cuda 3 dev drivers (197.13) a few days ago - it was all working great under Windows 7 64. Then I installed Silo 2.2 and now Beta 2 crashes immediately on startup. I've un-installed Silo but that hasn't changed things. I've then uninstalled the Beta 2 and the Cuda drivers - run the Guru3D sweeper and reinstalled Beta 2 and Cuda 3 but it still crashes immediately. The 81a version still continues to run fine.

No idea what has happened - it's a shame as I love this app.

Octane 0.81a Demo says I'm running Cuda Driver Version 3.00 and Cuda Runtime Version 2.03 - is that ok?

Curious...i installed the new Silo 2.2 beta a the day after it was released...

i don't know anything about this silo.
does it use cuda ?

oops - forgot to post my configuration - i7 860 8Gb RAM - GeForce GTS 240 1Gb Win 7 64

Metalliandy >- yes it's strange as Silo is such an accommodating application. Maybe I changed something else - I can't think what though.

Does Octane Demo generate a crash log dump file - I can't find any....

Vista 64. Same here with 64 version.
32bit version launches ok.

You inspired me to try the 32bit version again and it worked!(with 197.13 drivers):D
I must have make a mistake last time i tried the 32bit and accidentally launched the 64bit version instead.

So it looks like this is a specific issue with the 64bit Edition on Vista 64.

Hi, can you be a bit more descriptive ?
When does it crash, what happens, does it give a message ?
