HI HHbomb,
Nothing happens with the Cryptomatte, just like with the Info Channels.

Hi Elvissuperstar007,
I can't reproduce your issue using your scene. From the screenshot, it looks like you're using the retopology modifier. I tried using that as well, but aside from a few freezes that I can resolve with the unfreeze button, I haven't experienced any permanent freezes. This modifier takes some time to update the changes, but I haven't encountered any pop-up windows like you mentioned. Do you have other applications using the GPU and VRAM (like Chrome, for example)?

it freezes even without modifiers, if you just render and use a denoiser, not always, but the risk of freezing is 50%, while on octane render 2024 there are no such problems in the same 3dsmax 2025.3, I rolled back to the old version of the render

I had several old scenes with latest version before 2024.1.2 with a complete different sun angle now.
Usually I use a Texture-Environment with a RGB Image (HDR). I use the UV transform slot and apply an 2D Transformation with a value for example 0,25 and 0,0.
With current version, the 0,25 is now exactly 180° wrong. So to get my old 0,25 I need to enter 0,75.

This happens to all of my scenes. And I use a lot of recent scenes from many years.
HI mbetke,
It does seem like something is going wrong. I’m going to report my test to the developers.

Hi mbetke,
Thanks for reporting this issue.
The Mesh UV projection has changed between version 2024 and 2025 : the clockwise rotation is inverted..
There is a Compatibility mode for that, and loading an old scene with this projection will use the correct 2024 compatibility mode..
The problem in you case is probably that there is no projection set.. so the engine use an internal default, witch is mesh UV, but it uses the current compatibility mode..
The solution is to set a UV projection manually for those old scenes, and make sure to set the compatibility mode to 2024...
This should be fixed in the next release, those projections will be created and setup correctly automatically when loading an old scene..
Thanks

Hi coilbook,
It seems to work fine.
(There seems to be an display update issue in the Octane object properties dialog, but clicking in the object in the list fixes this issue)
Note that you can see and edit some of those 3ds parameter in the Octane properties when you enable 'Show 3dsMax object properties.." in the context menu in the Octane object list .

As for the animation and render, it looks fine:

Try to reset Octane preferences if this scene doesn't work for you .. there could be some special settings activated .. ?

There is still a bug when using itoo and random color texture. Colors sometimes change every frame. Sometimes it doesn't happen.

It seems that it happens when other plugin like orantrix or tyflow force octane to reload every frame. Anyway to add a button lock random color texture?

UPDATE: removing ornatrix hair solved wooden planks from changing random color ids every new frame. So forcing octane to render a new frame as a new frame affects itoo with random color ids assigned.
