What are you considering as heavy? Massive network creating the geo or something like a high poly fbx import etc?

Please send us the object to do some profiling on the performance with it. Thanks!

lavrenovlad wrote:There is an annoying problem with the IPR when I switch to some frame when IPR is on, it forces Houdini to calculate something for no reason from frame 1 to the frame I am on (like running a simulation when I have literally a cache file there and nothing should be simmed), usually if I switch frames I turn off IPR and switch to the needed frame and then turn the IPR back on.
Please can you send me a test file for that specific case, we will have a look into it! Thanks man!
Will do! I am busy and don't have time to file these reports etc.
BTW I broke octane license in a funny way today, launched IPR with thousands of unique packed objects for a test, octane couldn't load that in for like 5 minutes, then my license just crashed lol and couldn't get Octane working 'cause some json file was corrupted or something. Had to clean up AppData folders for Octane and works again now :D

BTW sometimes I get this message when launching IPR, what could it be?

Moving a subdivided test model is pretty slow.

Hi, may I ask for a 2024.1.0 build for Houdini 20.5.445? We wish to update to the latest plugin, but we cannot use 2024.1.2 as it is not yet supported by RNDR network, and Houdini fixed some critical bug on latest production release
