Erm, not sure. I'm getting some weird error messages.
Can see my account details and subscription but it's not really working. Is this a new thing?

Do you know what ray epsilon value should be for a scene one mile by one mile? It used to be less than 1 not values can go much higher.
Hi coilbook,
Have you solve your issue?

Hi Paride,
I just dont know what the best number should be. It looks good when it is set to 0.5 and looks the same when it is set to 3, for example.

Why does octane render phoenix flames way worse than embergen? They are so pixelated. There is no smoothness between vdb cells. One image is embergen the other one is phoenix

Hi coilbook,
I don't think I understood, did you export 2 VDBs (one from PhoenixFD and one from Embergeen) and import them into 3dsMax?

Paride

Hi Paride,

The top image is phoenix simulation with octane volume modifier added. The bottom is embergen vdb. It seems that phoenix never looks smooth and always looks pixelated.

For some reason VISIBLE ON SCATTERING doesn't work when you use octane daylight volume. Noisy volume light still shows up.
