Thanks
When it is ready, later this week.

-Juanjo
ok thanks and sorry for asking
No problem! I need to update the licensing system to hold the new Studio+ license, plus some bugs that I want to fix before releasing a new build, but the idea is to have it ready before the next weekend.

Thanks,
-Juanjo

Sorry for technical re-posting but I'm having an issue with toon lights in both versions of the plugin, I detailed this more on the OctaneRender 2021 thread, I know you are busy but if you could take a look at it I would greatly appreciate it.

The problem comes from the material layer node. I've just replied to your post in the other thread.

Thanks,

The network rendering button does nothing on Apple M1 max. Is this a bug or is that feature not implemented yet?

I think that the current Prime license available for macOS doesn't support network rendering.

I get constant crashes in a scene all of a sudden and don't know what this means so can't debug it...
The IPR itself shows that it's loading a temp packaged GEO object at that moment - is it possible that such a temp geo is getting corrupted? I couldn't find the file or folder on my harddrives.

I also sometimes got a hard crash when changing the diameter of a torus light while using the (old) IPR.

Thanks for the updates, other than the above crashes I get really good results here from the RC1.

Windows 10, 1 RTX 2080 TI, Driver version 526.98, Houdini 19.5.435

Cheers,

Tom
Can you please share an example scene with this problem to take a look at it here?

Thanks,
-Juanjo
Sorry for the late reply, I don't get notifications here.

Not in this case, it's a huge file with a lot of dependencies and the problem is specific to it.
- The crash from the torus light started after we added the fifth or sixth one, had the IPR open while adjusting the parameters of the torus geometry.
- The other hangup/crash started after we fiddled with a volume layers position.
If you can't provide any guidance, I'll probably have to hide/remove scene elements one by one...
Thanks anyway...
Cheers,
Tom

Also, in the Spectron Light Spotlight, you could exchange the OSL Spotlight with the Spotlight node.
This is out of the scope of the upcoming release, which is almost done, but I'll try to include it in the next one after this.

Hmm, it is hard to know what could be the problem without a repro scene, but can you please enable the Octane log file in the plugin options panel and attach here the logs that you get after these crashes?

Thanks,
-Juanjo

I mean it's really not that big of a deal so whenever you get to it. Thanks
