Can we hope for a discount on the upgrade legacy V4 perpetual licenses to 2020.x perpetual licenses ?
Today we pay for 12 month maintenance plan with end of life software.

It would make sense for those who want to limit themselves to the current version of the LW plugin and are not going to use others (for other programs) to provide the possibility of a preferential upgrade to a perpetual version.

Yeah , BUT they killed perpetual licensing (silently) after v2020. There is no perpetual for octane 2021--->. Only RENT
.

In general, we all have long understood how to treat certain promises of Otoy ) These are just publicity stunts and nothing more.

Damn ! Juanjo, can you confirm that the perpetual license only works with the 2020 ? And not with the 2021 EOL ?
And that the perpetual 4 update only works with the 2020 ?
Only rent for 2021 EOL ? Strange !

That is info what i got from OTOY licensing/sales support last year when i was trying to see/extend my license, I had Perpetual but they said from 2021 onwards there is no perpetual anymore so my "last" fallback version for perpetual is Octane 2020.x...
It is weird (as everything with OTOYS licensing since v4 is weird wording or system that rarely anyone understands fully
) since they still have "BUY" option on their shop but it mentions only 2020.x perpetual...

I received a response from Otoy that a free version of Octane for Lightwave users may be available in the next three months.
