Hi Templas,
I'm not sure what you mean; are you meaning "saving"?
I can't reproduce this issue. Can you share a screenshot about your workflow?

I'm experiencing random crashes when rebuilding in the preview window. Simple scenes which worked in the past. I'm thinking this may be nvidia driver related. Tried to see if the latest game driver "fixed" some things. Also crashes with Arnold materials and had to turn off "progressive rendering." I may have to go back two studio versions.

Hi Jani,
Thank you for those files, and reporting this issue.
I couldn't reproduce the crash with Forest Pro 7.1.1 and 7.3.0
What version of Forest Pro are you using ?
Thanks

Hi ramone163,
Thank you for reporting this issue.
That's right, when changing the FOV with this tool, it is only updated when changing to a different max viewport, and then, back to current one.
That will be fixed in the next release.
Thanks

3DSMAX users.. found a bug in the lastest version 2021.1 - 12.09
It seems that unless you add the DENOISED BEAUTY pass added to your RENDER ELEMENTS, it will ignore the beauty pass as the primary output and only output the raw noised pass, EVEN if you have selected that option in the TOOLS > OPTIONS setting.
Hi richardyarlett,
Thank you for this work around, that works fine.
The option "Use denoised beauty output instead of beauty" do not work as expected.
This will be fixed in the next release.
Thanks

I still get those sudden and random crashes when I close the viewport.
It happens when I close the viewport after a few samples. I only can prevent it when I press the pause button and wait a few seconds.
But its not depending on a certain scene.

Hi mbetke,
That's strange, we can't reproduce this crash..
It could be from a setting in Octane Preferences..
Could you send your file octane3dsMaxConfig.cfg (open Octane Preferences, menu "Tools / Explore Octane Preference Folder", should point to it)
Alternatively, you could send a simple scene, with a Preset Helper (that includes most of the settings from Preferences) :
In Octane Preferences, use menu "Preset" / "Add Octane Preset Helper", and on the newly created "OctanePreset_001" object, set 'Included categories' to 'Full"
You could also try "Preset / Reset default settings" (and maybe backup this file octane3dsMaxConfig.cfg before..)
Thanks

Hi, NZ !
Do you plan to release 2021.1.1 ? It seems to solve my problem with clay rendering ( if I have understood the release note ) Thanks

Hi HHbomb,
In 2021.1.1, there is a bug with Cryptomatte passes that causes crashes when saving in HDR.. so I was hesitant..
But as I remember, that's right, the clay rendering is fixed.. so, I'll release it soon, for those who don't use Cryptomatte ..
Thanks
