I have baked all the animations out as alembics and retextured them. When I export as ORBX it still comes out jerky. Please help, I need to render on RNDR and having no luck exporting as ORBX

I didn't find any other solution rather than rendering everything on my PC over days and nights. Missed the deadline
It feels like the problem appears somewhere in synchronization between Cinema 4D's viewport and ORBX exporter. Because when export is in progress, the frames counter (in Octane's export window) is ticking as normal. But from time to time, Cinema 4D's viewport freezes for 1-3 frames, while the frames counter is still ticking. And those frozen frames are still beeing recorded to the ORBX.

How's your viewport layout and "synchronization on geo. updates" selected? Better to check your C4D installation and Octane settings. Maybe you can do a clean install of C4D to be sure every settings of Octane is default.

Hi,
I experience exactly the same thing.
For me it's with camera movement, but I guess it's the same with animated objects.
Whenever I have something that is keyframed, I get jerky / jittery animation when exporting to ORBX.
I thought my scenes were too complex but it does it even on the most simple scene.
I'm really not sure what is the problem.
I don't think it's a setting I use because I've even tried to reset C4D + Octane's render settings.
I'll prep a scene + ORBX for you to have a look at.
And same for me it's a massive problem as I have to use RNDR to meet a deadline.
Aoktar, where is that "Synchronisation on geo. update" setting is located ?

So i've done quick test :

You've got C4D and .ORBX files
The simplest animation as you can see.
So it's still quite jittery, you can see in the example the animation.
It will freeze for a couple frame or more, then catch up with the animation and produces very strange results.

- frame 49 is still

- until frame 51

- then frame 52 the animation is back on and it catches up with the animation
I'm stuck here.
Also I've tried the option "Show results in Live Viewer", it takes longer of course and it's a bit better (its v2 in the wetransfer file)
but it still struggling at the end.

1-open the revised C4D project
2-Activate these options
2-and do new export.
3-save log after the export process
4-attach a video capture that can show all interface and process.

Ok, so far for me in S24 and Octane 2021 it works.
So it's definitely a R25 thing in my case, I'm not sure what it is, I've tried exporting from the standard layout as well with no luck.
So for now if you experience this problem and want to export in .ORBX, have a go at Cinema4D S24, it has worked for me.

Just edited motion curve to linear to test the movement better. But not intended to fix something. Are you checking with R25?
