Hi,
I had more then 5000 instances in a layer. The layer is hidden.
When I run octane viewport all become sluggish, slow,... more then several seconds to open quad menu,....
I delete all objects= all is ok.
It is strange that hidden objects can slow down max when using octane viewport.

Hi HHbomb,
I guess you didn't turn on the Quick mode..
Without Quick mode, all objects are regularly checked, to see if something changed.. for example change from hidden to visible.., so that can be very slow with many objects..
With Quick mode enabled, changes are handled when detected; There used to be some types of changes that were not detected correctly, but I think all have been fixed by now..
It might be time that I remove this option, and keep it always enabled..

neonZorglub , if you don't care, at least you could give a little bit of a response "I don't know what this is or this is something 3ds max not octane related"
at least it would keep a good impression

Hi samsue,
at the moment we could not reproduce that issue, we're investigating around.
Are you using 3dsMax 2021? Release?
Regards

Hi paride4331,
3DS Max - 2021.1 / 23,0 -23.1.0.1314
Whenever I'm rendering with OctaneRender Viewport this issue occurs. It's also something new to me this issue, but it's hard to know whether it's because of the nvidia driver, 3ds max or octane ...

Removing it would be nice. But please fix the UVW-Map Modifier. Because if I change the scaling I need to update the whole scene with Quickmode on.

Hi samsue,
I have not your issue using 2021.1 / 23,0 -23.1.0.1314 version.
Could you share a scene where the issue could occurs?

Yes please NZ. It would be nice ( it would work as before ) but for exemple Lights are not updated, sun, some textures, etc. so I never use Quick mode...
