Thanks for the scene. I've fixed this problem for the next plugin build. It is related to having the update material option enabled in the render target root node options, so the workaround is to disable this option.

Thanks for reporting this issue!

Hi Juanjo

The ipr window does not update unless the mouse is moved.
Is this intended or?

Best

Nope, not at all. I've no idea about what could be the problem. What LightWave and Octane version are you using? In Windows? ... perhaps you should try to clean your LightWave config files and add the plugin again to check if this could fix this problem. Also, double-check if you are installing the right plugin for your LightWave version, and if you could have two plugins installed at the same time.

Thanks,
-Juanjo

Hi Juanjo

So i have reinstalled nvidia driver 441.66-desktop-win10-64bit-international.
I have also reinstalled lightwave and the octane plug-in and it still is acting weird.

IPR only updates when i move the mouse?

using lightwave 2015.3. win 10. Amd thereadripper 3960x...

Hmm, I've no idea about what could be the problem. I've not seen anything like that before. It must be something related to your system ... have you fully cleaned the LightWave configs? Do you have other devices attached to your system, like a Wacom or something like that?

Thanks,
-Juanjo

Juanjo

I have installed the standalone version and It renders as expected, so the problem is related to the plugin version right?
I have reinstalled gpu drivers from scratch. likewise with lightwave and octane....several times now and its still not working properly.....

To be honest I'm not sure what could be the problem. The IPR should be refreshed automatically each time a new sample is computed. I can't understand how the mouse movement could be affecting the IPR window refresh ... perhaps the problem comes from something in your system configuration, a mouse driver, etc. It is hard to say, I've never seen anything like that.

Do you have access to another computer where you can test the plugin to check if it has the same problem?

Thanks,
-Juanjo
